What do you get when literary arts meet interactive media? You get bornmagazine.org, an internet magazine that publishes creative collaborations between writers and poets and digital artists.
bornmagazine is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 in Seattle as an all-volunteer free publication project. The online edition appears quarterly.

A look inside the current issue, I was deeply impressed by the awesome visualization of Zoology. Zoology is an interactive flash-animation made up of dots that arrange themselves into animals. Each animal illustrates a line from the poem Zoology. To shift from one line to another a pulsating dot prompts the reader to click. I really love it.

There are three other collaborations in this edition of bornmagazine named:
“Outrances”: a flash film using street posters
“And The Ship Sails On”: a poetry videoclip
“I Can No Longer Think”: a poetic video art journey
I can´t wait for the next issue of bornmagazine, and till then I´m using Zoology as a screensaver.
