the Tropic of Cancer? 
Trade the milky stars
for sunlight, blue for
its complement,
Henry Miller for Jack
London, and you're there.

Where should I go?
Maybe to another point
on the hot Tropic,
or to Scandinavia and
continue along the Circle?




  It just strikes me,
  your arc describes
  a map of North America.

  Dodging the crowdedness on
  the streets of Mexico City,
  or sidestepping caribou bones
  on Tuk's rubble beach, while
  your safely seated somewhere
  at your screen and on the line...
  Where are you going from here?
